Buying and replacing furniture without closing the shop

Chairs wear out one at a time, but a replacement order arrives all at once. These guides help you decide what to replace, how to review what you receive, and how to keep a running record, so you can swap pieces without shutting the doors.

Start with a tape measure

Keep a short list of what you own: quantity, finish and where it sits. Look at it twice a year. When a wobble or a split shows up, you already know which line to reorder and whether a fresh swatch is needed before the new pieces arrive beside the old ones.
