Screens flatter every color. A swatch held up at your own window at 8 AM does not. Samples cost nothing, and you can ask for four things: table top materials, metal swatches, wood stain and finish samples, or upholstery swatches.

How they travel

UPS Ground brings them, usually in two to three business days. When the box arrives, put the samples on the counter under the room's own lights, then look again at 2 PM after the sun has moved.

Before you order

Approve custom upholstery and special-order finishes on a physical sample first, because a confirmed custom line can't be cancelled or returned. The same advice holds for a reorder, or for an addition to a room that's already open: color lists change, so ask for a fresh swatch.
